25KW SOLAR POWER SYSTEM FOR MINI RICE MILL – DOT, BAUCHI
Desamis International Co. LTD successfully implemented a 25 kW solar power system for a mini rice mill located in Dot, Bauchi State. The project was developed to solve the challenges of unreliable grid power and high fuel costs that often disrupt production and increase operational expenses.
The system was carefully designed after a thorough energy audit and load analysis, ensuring the solar capacity perfectly matched the mill’s daily energy consumption and peak operational demands. The installation features a 25 kW high-capacity hybrid inverter, lithium battery storage, and Tier-1 615 W solar panels for high-efficiency power generation throughout the day.
By integrating remote monitoring technology, the Desamis team provided the operators with full visibility into system performance, enabling them to track energy generation, consumption, and battery health in real time. This ensures optimal energy management and simplifies system maintenance.
With this project, the rice mill now operates with improved reliability, lower energy costs, and a significantly reduced carbon footprint — setting an example of how solar energy can power small and medium-scale agro-industrial facilities across Sub-Saharan Africa.
