25KW COMMERCIAL SOLAR SYSTEM FOR RICE MILL – KAFIN TAFAWA, BAUCHI
Desamis International Co. LTD successfully executed a 25 kW commercial solar system for a local rice mill in Kafin Tafawa, Bauchi State. This project was developed to provide the mill with reliable, cost-effective energy for continuous rice processing operations while minimizing dependence on diesel generators.
Before implementation, Desamis engineers conducted a detailed energy audit and site analysis to assess the mill’s energy requirements and peak load usage. The system was designed to ensure sufficient daytime generation and battery backup to sustain operations during off-grid periods.
The setup includes a 25 kW hybrid inverter system, integrated with high-performance 615 W Tier-1 solar panels, configured for maximum efficiency under varying weather conditions. Remote monitoring technology allows the plant operators to track daily production, power usage, and system performance in real time.
By replacing fossil-fuel power with renewable energy, the rice mill now enjoys significant reductions in operational costs, improved productivity, and a cleaner energy footprint. This installation stands as a model for how renewable energy can drive industrial efficiency across Nigeria’s agro-processing sector.
